There’s plenty to do and explore in Naples! Whether you’re looking for some adventure, a new perspective or a dash of culture, our DO section highlights the best of Southwest Florida’s activities, attractions and destinations.

For more than 60 years, Naples Art Association has brought a healthy dose of arts and culture to the Naples community. From regular outdoor art shows in nearby Cambier Park to free contemporary art exhibitions featuring works by international, national and local artists, each provides an opportunity to enjoy original photography, painting, sculpture and more. Interested in developing your own artistic talent? Naples Art Association also hosts a variety of classes and workshops for adults and children of all ability levels.

Naples Botanical Garden is a treasure trove of flora in the heart of Naples. Comprised of nine named gardens and a 90-acre nature sanctuary that’s home to hundreds of animal species—eagles, otters, tree frogs and gopher tortoises, to name a few—the Garden represents plants and cultures from around the world, including Southeast Asia, Brazil and the Caribbean. Visitors are welcome daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays). A range of art, gardening, wellness and birding educational programs for children and adults is also available.

Naples Princess Cruises, Naples FL

Nothing’s more memorable than viewing a breathtaking Gulf of Mexico sunset from the deck of a luxury yacht. Step aboard the newly renovated, 105-foot Naples Princess for an afternoon sightseeing cruise through the waters around the spectacular mansions of Port Royal, where playful dolphins make frequent appearances. Or opt for a lunch, hors d’oeuvres, wine tasting or dinner cruise, where you’ll enjoy delicious, fresh fare with a side of stunning natural beauty. Join one of their popular daily public cruises, or arrange a private charter to make your special occasion truly unforgettable.

Ready to get out on the water? Port O Call Marina has all of your watersport activity needs covered with top-quality fishing charters, boat rentals, and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Explore Naples Bay, Marco Island and the Ten Thousand Islands on a brand-new deck boat or pontoon. Get up close with wildlife as you skim through the mangroves on a kayak or paddleboard. Or head out on a half- or full-day fishing charter, led by professional guides and specially tailored to your fishing style. (Don’t skip a visit to the gift shop, either, for apparel and hats, nautical jewelry from Kiel James Patrick, Quay sunglasses, beach towels and other goodies. They even have cold water, beer and wine to take with you on your excursion!)

Plus: Watch for Port O Call Marina’s newest addition coming in July: Miss Naples, a 48-foot, 49-passenger sightseeing catamaran offering daily public cruises, private charters and weddings.

Nothing beats seeing Southwest Florida from the air with Salt Island Seaplanes. Their two Cessna 206 amphibious seaplanes, which seat up to four passengers, are by far the coolest way to get from Naples to Key West for the day; to Boca Grande, Useppa or Captiva for lunch; or just to sightsee. From takeoff to on-water landing, your seaplane adventure is as much a destination as the rest of your trip. Whether you’re vacationing, celebrating a special occasion or in the mood to explore, each can start the minute you take to the air.
