Summer in Naples is for the locals—or those who, if they’re savvy, know how to live like one. 😉 We secretly love the emptier beaches and the amazing summer dining deals and the fact that we can finally find a spot to park on Fifth. We also love the annual traditions and fun things to do that come with summer in Naples, and we’re sharing the ones you can’t miss here.
SUMMER RESTAURANT WEEK
Summer Restaurant Week happens but once a year, and when it does, we eat like we’ve never eaten before. That’s because, over a span of 14 days, dozens of restaurants in Naples and Marco Island offer specially crafted, two-course lunch and three-course dinner menus, starting at just $16 for lunch and $26 for dinner. It’s a great opportunity to try new restaurants at affordable prices, and a portion of proceeds is donated to an FGCU food and beverage scholarship.

NAPLES PRIDE FEST
A fairly new tradition to Naples, the annual Naples Pride Fest in Cambier Park celebrates diversity, unity, love and equal rights for all. The all-inclusive, family-friendly event in June is open to the public, with live entertainment, speakers, music, vendors, kids’ activities, food and drinks. A $5 entry donation supports Naples Pride and its ongoing efforts to empower and support the local LGBTQ community through counseling, housing, employment and advocacy.

SUMMERJAZZ ON THE GULF
The SummerJazz on the Gulf concert series is a long-standing tradition at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Held on the Watkins Lawn of the historic hotel one Saturday a month in June through September, the fun, free concerts combine a diverse selection of jazz entertainers with picturesque Gulf views, beautiful sunsets and refreshing breezes.
If you’re not staying at the resort, you can park for free with your Collier County beach sticker at Lowdermilk Park, then take the complimentary trolley to the resort and back. Pack your chairs and blankets, but leave your coolers at home.

MOE’S FIRECRACKER 5K
The Moe’s Firecracker 5K on July 4 is one of Naples’ oldest and best-attended 5K races—probably because it eases the guilt of all those summer barbecues we’ll be attending later in the day. The race begins at 7 a.m. in Fleischmann Park.

NAPLES FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
Don your red, white and blue, and get the Naples Fourth of July celebration started! This annual downtown Naples parade winds its way up Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South to Cambier Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendance is free.
FIREWORKS AT NAPLES PIER
It’s not the Fourth of July without fireworks, and the Naples Pier fireworks show doesn’t disappoint. A true Neapolitan tradition, the fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and can be seen by land along the beach from Lowdermilk Park to south of the Pier.
FARMERS MARKET ON THIRD STREET SOUTH
The perfect way to start a Saturday is with a stroll through the Third Street South Farmers Market. From 7:30-11:30 a.m. each weekend, the market overflows with fresh produce, flowers, pastas, cheeses, seafood, grass-fed beef, pastries and baked goods, prepared foods, jams, relishes, fresh-roasted coffee beans, and much more. Music, coffee, dog treats and many other delights make the Third Street Farmers Market perfect for adults, children, dogs and every member of the family.
During the summer, find the market behind Tommy Bahama in the Neapolitan parking lot between Third Street South and Gordon Drive.
