We get questions regularly from readers about where to get a good facial in Naples, the best workouts to try, salons that don’t suck, and the like. We’re always happy to offer our recommendations directly (and if you have a burning question, feel free to Ask TNN!), but since we receive so many wellness-focused requests, we decided to compile our tried-and-true favorite ways to be well in Naples in 2019—whether that means discovering a new workout you love, taking time out to reflect or committing to regular self-care appointments (nothing wrong with a little pampering).

We love The Sand Barre because it’s home to a tight-knit community of women who find balance in physical fitness and  healthy living. This boutique-style fitness studio features Buti Yoga and several barre-style class formats, including Classic Barre, Advanced, Bounce, Bootcamp, Tabata and Fire, which incorporate varying levels of strengthening, stretching and cardio. All ages, shapes and fitness levels benefit from The Sand Barre’s small class sizes and friendly, highly trained instructors. If you’re new to the studio, try it out with great pricing on unlimited classes for your first month.

Cycle Guroo is our favorite indoor cycling studio in Naples because of its empowering instructors, roomy stadium seating, in-depth performance tracking and always-on-point music. Choose from classes focused on Rhythm, Power or Form, or get in the zone with a DJ Cycling Class on Friday mornings, where a live DJ spins while you do (so fun!) No matter which you choose, you’re guaranteed a challenging resistance workout. New riders can try it out for $79 for a month of unlimited classes. Plus, they’re opening a new location in north Naples soon!

Salon Bamboo Aveda, Naples, FL

We’ve been fans of Salon Bamboo for years as a one-stop destination for self-care. In addition to the traditional salon repertoire—color, cuts, styling, extensions, all of which are expertly done—they also offer a variety of spa services, including manicures and pedicures, spray tanning and waxing. You literally don’t have to go anywhere else.

Salon Bamboo is an Aveda salon, which are always so relaxing, since their products are made with organic and natural pure flower and plant ingredients and smell heavenly. There’s nothing better than settling in for a treatment with a cup of hot tea and a warm, aromatherapeutic towel. Even typing that makes us crave an appointment right… now.

There are certain routines we wish we could skip every morning. One of them: makeup. We recently learned about the lash lift, which is essentially a perm for your natural lashes that makes them look longer, curled and darker with no extra effort. Best of all, it doesn’t involve extensions and isn’t damaging to your natural lashes. (Win, win!)

Naples Lash Bar does a meticulous job on said lash lift for just $50 when you use this coupon or mention The Inside Coup magazine. Or if you prefer more drama, you can save $25 on a full set of lash extensions, as well.

Finding a great facialist in Naples can feel a bit like throwing a dart; there are so many to choose from! We were blown away by the professionalism at the new Naples Aesthetics & Wellness Institute (NAWI, for short). Their aesthetician, Krystle Anderson, spent so much time getting to know us and our skincare concerns before making recommendations—she’s like your skin’s best friend. The practice is family-owned and operated, which shines through in the staff’s warmth and dedication. (No, we’re not just saying that. You can really feel the difference.)

NAWI offers a slew of services, from body contouring to Laser Genesis to hair removal, but we’re especially hooked on the Hydrafacial, an amazing facial treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates with a range of super serums filled with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid that leaves your skin positively glowing with no downtime. They also offer several boosters for the Hydrafacial to address specific skin concerns, like dark spots, fine lines or texture.

Donation Yoga Naples, Naples, FL

“Peace signs over dollar signs” is the mantra behind Donation Yoga Naples, a yoga practice founded by director (and Naples native) Lauren Fox. She leads weekly sessions at a variety of locations around Naples, from the studio to the beach to Naples Beach Brewery, the Naples Zoo, The Bowl, Kunjani Craft Coffee & Gallery and Naples Outfitters. Lauren’s fun, uplifting and affordable asana yoga classes—designed for students of all skill levels—are made even better when you remember the donation aspect: Half of the proceeds from all classes are donated to local nonprofit organizations each month. Private, one-on-one sessions are also available.

In case you missed it, Naples has held the title of “happiest, healthiest city in the U.S.” for three years running. That’s no coincidence—apart from having some of the best beaches and weather around, Naples makes wellness a priority.

It’s easy, though, to forget our beautiful surroundings when we’re inundated with work, errands and other obligations. This year, we’re reminding ourselves to take time out to appreciate all of it and be mindful of how lucky we are. (So many people spend so much money to visit what’s aptly called the Paradise Coast—and we actually get to live here!)

Take a few minutes to go to a local beach or park to sit and just be, with no agenda. If you have trouble with that, or if the word “meditation” seems silly or intimidating, we recommend using an app like Headspace, which guides you through the process. You can use it for free, and if you really love it, there’s also a subscription with an expansive library of guided meditations that address everything from physical health to stress and anxiety and personal growth. With a little practice, you’ll be amazed at how the tidbits you pick up take root and ingrain themselves into your day-to-day life.
