1 Origami in the Garden
Naples Botanical Garden transforms into a leafy art gallery with Origami in the Garden, a limited-time exhibition of large-scale installations resembling the folded paper art, throughout the garden. The sculptures, created by a lineup of world-renowned origami artists, will be on display beginning today through the end of April.
2 Naples Restaurant Week
One of local foodies’ favorite weeks of the year is here: Naples Restaurant Week. Through Dec. 11, more than 25 Naples restaurants are offering three-course menus starting at just $35 (aka much, much less than you’d normally pay at these spots). Even better, a percentage of the profits from the week will be donated to Boys & Girls Club of Collier County. Get a peek at each of the restaurant’s prix fixe menus on the NRW website, then go forth and dig in. And we know you love your social media, so tag your posts about NRW with #DineWithPurpose and share the foodie love.
3 Free Fridays at The Sand Barre
Oooh, has The Sand Barre got a gift for you! The boutique fitness studio has amassed a loyal following for its intensive, ballet-inspired workouts, and this month, all classes on Fridays are F-R-E-E. Sign up in advance online to reserve your spot.
Believe us when we tell you: Greetabl is the cutest thing to ever happen to gift giving. (Also the easiest.) Here’s how it works: You select a box and a gift, add your own photos and message to be printed inside the box, and Greetabl sends it for you. The little square boxes are high-quality and designed by pro illustrators; the gifts are unique and well-curated (we love the champagne gummy bears, vellum paper confetti or mini copper mugs for the holidays); and it only takes a few clicks to send the finished product on its way. Order through this link and receive 15 percent off your first order.
5 GTFO app
Ready to GTFO and away from the holiday bustle? The app—which actually stands for Get the Flight Out—finds super low prices on roundtrip flights leaving from your location tonight and tomorrow morning. Perfect (or terribly tempting) for the spontaneous traveler in us all.
We did it! Our resolution to try five new things around Southwest Florida each month is complete. See five things we tried in February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November 2016, too!
