Dining: Valentine's Day Craft Cocktail at The Continental

If a trip to Third Street South is in your Valentine’s Day plans, stop in to The Continental to try My Bittersweet Valentine, a special craft cocktail created just for Cupid’s favorite day by bar manager Barry Larkin. It’s not on the menu, so you’ll have to ask for it by name. (That whole speakeasy thing.)

Or, if you’re spending the night in, you can make it yourself:

My Bittersweet Valentine
1 oz. St. Petersburg Distillery’s “Old St. Pete Righteous Rum & Spice” Rum (St. Petersburg, FL)
1 oz. Aperol (house infused with fresh strawberries)
1 oz. Carpano Dry Vermouth
1 dash Fee Bros. Rhubarb Bitters
1 orange swath “rose” garnish

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass and strain over one large sphere or cube of ice. Garnish with an orange swath “rose.”
